mike's word: piddling
joon's word: pallid

Discuss.

  1. Hmmm. I'm betting a lot of other people tried piddle and then moved on (as I did). It might seem like the word piddling is more common, but I wonder about that. To 'piddle around' is something you'd hear just as often as 'piddling amount,' or whatever. Maybe not Up North?

    1. i don't think it really matters which is more common; piddle (v) and piddling (adj) are different words. either one of them is a legit GMW answer.

  3. Joon, you plainly misunderstood the thrust of my musing. I notice some did as I did--tried piddle and then advanced without trying other forms of the word. (The linguistic variants don't --to me-- count as different words, just different forms of the root.) When 'piddle' did not take, I jumped past before returning to that word and associated forms.
