no, that's a totally legit word, although rather context-specific. admittedly most of the gamblers i know just call it "vig", but that doesn't make (e.g.) "perquisite" any less of a word. in fact, i think i may have even used perquisite in GMW in the past.
Vigorish? Oh, please. Use it in conversation today and see what sort of reaction you get........
