Not so excited to see the -ing. It could have been worse, though. I was between "condescend" and "condign." The choices were"CONDESCENDED", "CONDESCENDENCE", "CONDESCENDENCES", "CONDESCENDING", "CONDESCENDINGLY", "CONDESCENDS", "CONDESCENSION", "CONDESCENSIONS"and I got it in one try.
i didn't get it, but to me, the -ing is okay. condescending (adj.) feels like a much more commonly used form of the word than condescend (v.).
"it was trivial--all i had to do to escape from prison was climb down that wall," he said condescendingly.
