Wow, 2nd "prefix" word in a row for Joon, leading to a word I've never, ever heard of. Yet another "prefix" word for Mike, but a variant for which I had guessed the root, but never thought to try random variants. Two fails, encompassing pretty much all of my GMW pet peeves. Looks like it's going to be a great day :-)!
Seriously, I do enjoy the game and I really appreciate Joon and Mike providing the service. These just weren't my favorite words today.
For Joon's word I gave up after 16 words with the right first five letters. I knew the answer word but never came up with it. For Mike, I had the present tense of the verb and needed two more variants to get the answer.
joon's word: after narrowing the word to be between superego and superficial, i guessed superfamily, and then drew a blank and cheated! (i guess i could have given up ... but this was more fun!)
sorry if you didn't like this one. i thought it was a pretty cool word, and although it does start with a prefix, "erogatory" isn't a word (and there really isn't even a plausible definition you could associate with it).
i'm not sure why the reset script didn't run at 9 am automatically like it usually does, but i gave it a nudge and we should be good to go today.

I had the root for Mike's word at 15--took me another 8 guesses to get back to the variant.

ReplyDelete(For Joon, I meant about 30 words in all, 15 of which had the right first five letters....)
