Knowing that Joon doesn't usually choose inflected forms as his words, it never even occurred to me to add a d to ensconce, and I gave up when I couldn't find a word between ensconce and ensemble. I guess I won't make that assumption again.
today i learned that i didn't know how to spell mike's word. i had plebe/plebiscite and then i gave up when "plebian" was not in the dictionary. now i know.

ReplyDeleteensconced is a common adjective in addition to being an inflection of an unusual verb.
DeleteI also gave up between ensconce and ensemble. Oh well, I had much better luck on Mike's word today!
