I am reading a complicated trilogy right now, and Boyle is mentioned. Mike's word may feature in it at some point--but I'm only up to 1714, and Boyle designed the device a bit later, according to the dictionary.
Apparently I can't remember the alphabet....You mean there's a letter between P and N? Duh

I've read that we actually have three vocabularies -- reading, writing, and speaking.
ReplyDeleteMike's word today is only in my reading vocabulary; i.e., I would probably recognize it if I saw it, but I'll never think of it on my own.
pretty sure i learned mike's word only from crossword puzzles, despite my childhood fascination with the solar system.
