Dang. I was barking up the wrong tree on Joon's word and gave up at 22 guesses, or contortions... and Mike's was something of an accidental hit. I swear I'm not bipolar.
you must have been playing while the word changed at 9 am eastern: yesterday's word is after fuse, and today's word is before fused. sorry about that. i've been meaning to fix it but haven't gotten around to it.
I gave up after 25 guesses on Joon's word; not that it was obscure, but there were just too many possible words in that part of the alphabet for me to zero in on the right one without an insanely large number of legitimate guesses. At least I did respectably on Mike's word...
I'm with Elaine and Lane: some days the windshield, some days the bug. I took a Ric Q FAIL after 29 [sic!] attempts at Joon's word, and followed that with a 10 try / 0:47 success at Mike's. Perhaps I myself am [Mike's word here].

ReplyDeleteOops, I think something glitched with Joon's word. I had it narrowed down to between fuse and fused when I gave up, and the word is not in that range.
